at least there are no skulls...

This is sort of an attempt to do something clean...er. There are definitely some things that could use work, but it turned out alright and I'm pretty satisfied with the colors.

  2. very cool. I like the pose a lot and I think this paper texture works better than the other one, more subtle. I like the colors too even though I would have something else neon pink in the scene, maybe the design on the shoes? I like the line quality on her too, however it makes the wall she is sitting on looking very straight and geometric, I would break that line a bit. Also the cigarette smoke is too digital for my taste, cigarettes are hard to pull off in character design, always seem to be too bad ass, unless you are frank miller. I`d give her a popsicle instead. then get rid of the pants and move the left leg along the wall a little bit, put 2 more girls in it, and a shiny metal bird headfirst from the sky etc..
    nice bad religion button

  3. jared- thanks! i though there was enough feet for you but clearly you have enormous appetites!

giovanni- I agree about the wall. The popsicle, pants and moving the legs are also some very insightful recommendations; I can see you're a man of subtle taste. This metal bird you're suggesting, however is just outright perverted and I refuse to degrade my work with such filth!

  4. She is emo! nice work!

The lines around her are thick and edgy which makes her feel hard. I would think that she has a strong character and touch exterior. She is also an eccentric with her choice of clothes.

She is dark and the lines around her give her a lot of separation from her background, she is isolated and a loner.

She lives in an urban setting with lots of concrete and bright sun light outside, a place like downtown LA.

    Does this sound right?

  5. Thanks mike! it's interesting to hear a description of the character since pretty much all I had in mind was a look/style when I was doing this. Although, a lot of what you said was definitely somewhere in the back of my head when I was thinking her up...get out of my mind!!!
